This class is taught from the perspective of the judge and is specific to Indiana. The basic principles are likely pertinent to other states.
In the class, you will learn what is important to the judge and what is not. You will learn what constitutes appropriate levels of support. The concept of “one size fits all” reports will be dispelled to the end that your presentation for the purpose of tax appeal can be effective. You will not be solving math problems – you will be realigning your perspective. Learning how to present a commercial or residential card and by using the card to tell if it is objective or subjective data. Using the card to express grades on improvements. Learning the land value and its modifiers. Taking sources to assess cost, quality, or cost rank. Quoting an appropriate definition of market value and show how the sale meets this definition based on time of market, listing, and purchase agreement.
